Uploading Artwork
Please feel free to send us your artwork or any attachments directly to orders@arstamps.com.au - Please send attachments only, do not embed images in the email.
Types of artwork we accept:
Vector is always preferred, but please ensure you have converted any fonts/text to vector (curves/outlines etc.) prior to sending us the PDF or .eps. If your Vector art is colour, please convert it to black and white, however, if you're just sending us what your designer sent to you, we can usually do the colour conversion, so please email it to us anyway and we'll do our best to use it.
.jpegs and .png's are okay, but they need to be 600dpi or more at the size you require the finished impression to be. If your artwork is 300dpi, but your canvas size is, say, 14cm square, yet you need your stamp to be 5cm square, this is still acceptable, as halving the canvas size doubles the resolution.
If you have made your image in Canva: Canva has a maximum resolution of 300dpi, and in order to achieve this, you will need to save or download your image as a "Print Quality PDF". As mentioned above, halving the canvas size doubles resolution, so for best results, make your image as large as possible on the Canva template prior to generating the Print Quality PDF.
Things to keep in mind:
Stamp rubber is a physical 3-dimensional product, so things that work in 2D media, such as very light or thin fonts, serif fonts with very fine strokes, or designs with a lot of detail in a small amount of space, don't always hold up well in the engraving process. Sometimes we do have to add weight to fonts or parts of designs, that we know from experience, won't survive engraving. Any art that contains gradients, will also be converted to dots/screen. In these instances, we will always send you a proof prior to manufacture.
We do not accept full colour artwork or photograhic artwork. Where the artwork we receive is unable to be converted for the stamp making process, we will always correspond with our customer to find a solution - If you're ever unsure the artwork you have is viable for making a stamp, please email us before ordering.
